Embodied Spaces
Editorial design and photography for a book on identity and personal taste
The task was to create a short book with the theme of “Taste”. My interpretation of taste was rooted in individuality and artistic expression through personal taste. To further explore this idea, I interviewed several young artists living in NYC in their bedrooms to discuss their perspective on their personal taste and how it has impacted their lives. Inspired by Adrienne Salinger’s “In My Room” photo series, I captured raw and unfiltered looks into each artist’s personalised, private spaces. Each photograph, object, and arrangement tells a story- a narrative woven into the rich tapestry of the human experience, beckoning readers to unravel the enigma of taste and identity.
