  • Hyning is a Singaporean-Malaysian designer and creative technologist based in New York. Her work blends code, culture, and communication to craft interactive and visual experiences that foster human connection—most recently at Condé Nast, Sony Music, and NBCUniversal.

  • With a surname like (meaning 'colour' in Chinese), I’ve always seen the world through palettes and hues. I design with a research-driven, community-centred perspective—blending typography, code, and cultural storytelling to build experiences that feel both grounded and expansive. Shaped by my transnational upbringing, I’m invested in design futures that centre accessibility, nuance, and intention.

  • Hyning Gan is a Singaporean‑Malaysian, Hong Kong–raised, now NYC based designer and creative technologist whose career somehow started before she finished her degree. While pursuing her BFA in Communication Design at Parsons School of Design, she juggled design roles at Condé Nast, NBCUniversal, and Sony Music—an improbable but verifiable timeline she also finds mildly confusing.

Her practice spans editorial systems, interactive storytelling, and digital content shaped by multilingual and global perspectives. She is known for weaving typography, interface design, and cultural theory into projects that try to make sense of the messy systems we currently live within. When she’s not designing, she’s probably thinking about how she should be designing, or explaining to someone why bilingual typography matters more than they think.

Hyning is deeply committed to accessible, culturally informed design futures—and is currently accepting fan mail, speaking invitations, and café recommendations.
